Dopamine Detox
I feel like I haven't been as productive recently, I suspect it's because I went back to the addictive dopamine overload cycle again. I'm constantlyy doomscrolling/play addictive roguelike games/read novels. If not, I'll be experiencing dopamine withdrawal symptom, where I constantly feel like i need to simulate myself with something. And actual work where it has delayed dopamine instead of instant dopamine is quite hard to start. Although usually once I was able to start and get into it for 5min or so, would have no problem to continue working. The difficult part is in starting.
Once in a while I will be stuck in that mode. The most productive I've been is the moment after I wake up. Sleep seems to reset my dopamine withdrawal.
I need to figure out a way to regulate my emotion quickly when dopamine addiction happen as i mention in .
Here is a proposed solution:
Cut down all instant dopamine activity:
- No Doomscrolling
- No games
- No novel (Reading non-fiction is still okay)
Music (to lessen dopamine widthrawal a bit)
watch inspiring video
review/write down my goals
Sleep
Or just think
Push up? or physical exercise
