Improving eloquency with rehearsed thoughts
One thing I realize from good speakers in various topic is that they have spoken, wrote, or shared about the topic before. And hence it's much easier to share it again. They had the practice. Often times, the famous speaker or author always speak the same topic anyway.
Usually the way this happen I believe is by having friends. Where you can talk about these thoughtful ideas and in turn practiced formulating your thoughts in the topic. The problem is for ppl like me, who barely have friends and socialize. I don't have ppl to practice my thoughts with or don't have the social energy for it.
So my idea instead is to write these thoughts instead. Write the arguments, the good and against. Think about the audience.
first I should identify what are the common topics/question that I would often be asked as an expert in my domain? where my opinion holds weight?
Technology:
- Will AI replace jobs?
- What do i think about AI harms to environment?
- What do I think about AI being used for deepfakes for sexual harrasment or without consent?
- What do I think on AI and copyrights? the stolen data AI is trained on? The artists?
- What do I think about regulations around AI right now?
- What do I think about vibe-coding?
- What do I think about AI safety?
- What should goverment do in terms of AI regulation? AI governance?
